Mixed Up Slogans
My son came home today from school, and said that someone in his class had said, "Liar, liar, pumpkin-eater!" He said, that's like saying, "Cheater, cheater, pants on fire!!" Heehee that was really funny =)

A Revolutionary Way to Travel
It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's an engine-mobile!! Say what? Today, while in the van on the ride home, my son was asking me, "Mom, is a motor the same as an engine?" I said, "I think so." "Well, then why isn't a motorcycle called an 'engine-cycle'?" Good question! Then I said, "Well, what about an 'engine-mobile'?" Makes me wonder how and why things got their name. So, next time someone brags to you about their fancy new car, just one-up them with lofty talk about your revolutionary "Engine-Mobile!!"

Royalty
My son told me this week, "Wow, Mom, you look nice. You look like a princess. Really, you do." That was out of the blue, even for a very active, rambunctious 7-year-old. My guess is that G-d was speaking through him, to speak some loving words to me. And I'm thankful my son was willing to be a vessel for His service. =)

Babies Around the World
One day, my son asked, "Mom, what if someone was born at the same time that some else died?" I told him that people are born all the time, and die all the time, all around the world. His older brother chimed in, "I read in a book that every 3 seconds, a baby is born somewhere in the world." The younger one said, "Mom, is a baby being born right now?" "Probably." "What about now?........And now?....What about now?....Is someone dying right now?....And another baby being born now?....And now?" Oh, the mysteries of life. To ponder them with child-like eyes is what inspiration is made of. =)

It's Vomitrocious!
One day a friend of mine was watching my son work a maze on paper. Instead of drawing a line from start to finish, he drew lines in every empty space. My friend commented, "Wow, you're thorough!" My son turned and looked at her, and replied, "I'm not a throw-up!" Too cute =)

Experimental Experience
Once on a trip to Florida, our family was travelling to a theme park called The Holy Land Experience. While en route to the park, our son asked, "When will we be at the Holy Land of Experiments?" =)
