Killer Ice

My son, who turned 5 today, asked me while I was working in the kitchen, "Mom, can ice kill?" I repeated his question, to make sure I had heard correctly. Sure enough, that was his question. He's pondering the complexities of the universe again! So I answered him. And I was suprised at the answer, b/c I would never have imagined it to be true. Here's how ice can kill:
1)Freeze someone to death
2)Cut someone
3)A heavy piece could fall on top of someone
4)Someone could slip on it, and fall
5)Someone driving on it could have a wreck
6)Titanic, anyone?!!
7)Someone could be walking on ice, and it break, and the person could fall into a lake underneath, and drown
8)A piece of ice that was made of poisonous liquid could poison someone if they ate it/drank it
9)Icy cold stare could kill someone's heart =(
10)Ice could weight down the power lines, causing a power outage, which could cause death

Granted, I didn't tell him all of those, or he would have gotten bored. But the point is that my kids make me think. And G-d uses them to speak to me. Regularly!! Baruch HaShem (Bless the Name)

Footprints

When my son was about 3 or 4, he stood barefooted at the backdoor and wanted to go outside. I told him, "You need some socks and shoes before you go out, sweetie." To this he replied, "So I won't be footprinted?"
-He meant barefooted =)
